Filling Travertine

We have embarked upon a project of putting travertine Slabs (http://www.VerdeUbatuba.com) as treads on our stairs.  Is the Tenex travertine filler a product that is easily used by a capable do-it-yourselfer?  The Slabs (http://www.VerdeUbatuba.com) are unfilled and (http://maplered.com) some of the pits are very large.  Is this product a resin or epoxy?  Is it tinted or clear and (http://maplered.com) how do you get it in the pits?  (Just want to be sure that I get the right product for the job.  Thanks.
